TAG/05-T15 J3 National Body report to CT22 August 2005 Between February 2004 and February 2005, J3 developed a list of suggested revisions to Part 1 of the 2003 Fortran standard, ISO/IEC 1539-1:2004. These suggestions, along with suggested revisions submitted by the UK and Russian National Bodies, were considered during a concurrent meeting of J3 and SC22/WG5 in Delft, The Netherlands, on 9-13 May. All of the substantial suggestions were considered, and divided into three classes: Required work items (16), items to be pursued if time permits (18), and items not to be pursued at this time (12). Time did not allow consideration of 17 minor items, which will be considered at a concurrent meeting of J3 and WG5 to be held in February at George Mason University in Washington, DC. A Type II Technical Report, Enhanced Module Facilities in Fortran, was published in December 2004. A Technical Corrigendum concerning Fortran 2003 was developed at the Delft meeting. It has been submitted for publication, but a date has not been announced. J3 has begun work to implement the required and optional work items developed at the May 2005 meeting. J3 continues to work on defect reports, the results of which are submitted to WG5 for consideration for inclusion in future corrigenda.
