Monday, March 1, 1999 ------------------------ 1.1 Opening business Meeting was called to order at 8:30 am, March 1, 1999, at the Maui High Performance Computing Center. 1.1.1 Remarks from the chair The committee has been unable to devote time to interpretation processing and is also behind on the technical work for Fortran 2000. Discussed whether there was need for an additional meeting to address some of the interpretation processing. Decision has been deferred. 1.1.3 Approval of Meeting 147 minutes Corrections to Meeting 147 minutes: - Date is incorrect. - Page 10 - 98-244 is only available as PostScript (not text). - Under 1.1.7, remove rumour. - Under 1.1.11, strike details of local arrangements. - Appendix A lists draft agenda. Insert final agenda. - Papers for action should not be characterized as homework. - Under 1.1.1, after "treasurer" add "librarian". Motion: Adopt minutes as amended (Whitlock/Bleikamp) - u.c. 1.1.4 NCITS/OMC report Tony Warnock reported that NCITS is willing to host the J3 web site (and possibly the ftp server, as well). Discussion ensued on whether to pursue the offer, versus maintaining the status quo. The annual report will be delivered soon in Redhook, NJ. 1.1.5 ISO/WG5 report None. 1.1.6 Treasurer's report Meeting fee is $100. No liabilities. $2484.88 on deposit. Meeting fees will be maintained at $100 until after Oxford meeting.
