J3/01-242 To: J3 From: Craig Dedo Date: June 6, 2001 Subject: Issue 311 - Additional References to Fortran 95 Issue The editor writes: It is a little confusing that Annex B mentions changes only relative to F90. We voted not to detail the deletions in f77 (which decision I heartily agree with), but I'd like to think that F95 merits mention here, only to say that all these deletions and obsolescences were as of F95 and that f2k has no additional ones. Otherwise, the descriptive jump from f90 to f2k is confusing and makes me wonder about the role of f95. Analysis The editor's recommendation is a good one. We also need to add some mention of F95 to section 1.7. Edits [6:27] Add "and Fortran 95" after "Fortran90". [6:30] Change "in this revision of Fortran" to "in Fortran 95 or this revision of Fortran". [6:32] Add "and Fortran 95" at the end of the sentence. [409:4-10] Delete Issue 311. [409:14] Change "in this standard" to "in Fortran 95 or this standard". References 01-007r1, Fortran 2000 Draft [End of J3 / 01-242]
