Looking at the listdirected and namelist output requirements there is a surprising (to me) difference. In 09-007r3, for listdirected output it says (page 266)<br>"13 Except for continuation of delimited character sequences, each output record begins with a blank character."<br><br>but on page 270, for namelist output it says<br>"25 5 Except for new records created by explicit formatting within a defi ned output procedure or by continuation of delimited character sequences, each output record begins with a blank character."<br><br>Why the difference?<br><br>Dick Hendrickson<br>
