Introduction:

Original paper 26-176 suggested that most of the new intrinsics inserted
by US19 are not actually useful.  Discussion with the J3 members in plenary
led to a decision to pull 7 of these intrinsics from the standard under
development; these intrinsics can, of course, be added in a future release if
there are significant user requirements.

It was also decided by the J3 members in plenary that there be a table showing
computational formulas for IEEE operations that do not have corresponding
intrinsic procedure equivalents in Appendix C; that is in a separate paper.

Also, paper 26-178r1 contained edits to some of these intrinsics; that paper
will be modified to apply to only any remaining affected intrinsics.

LOGP1, LOG10P1, LOG2, LOG2P1, ROOTN, and RSQRT were added
were added; these are similar to recommended operations in
ISO/IEC/IEEE 60559:2020 ("IEEE-754")." to remove references to COMPOUND,
EXPM1, EXP10M1, EXP2M1, LOGP1, LOG10P1, LOG2P1, making the sentence
now read:

"The new intrinsic functions LOG2, ROOTN, and RSQRT
were added; these are similar to recommended operations in
ISO/IEC/IEEE 60559:2020 ("IEEE-754")."
