QUESTION:

There appears to be no statement saying whether the procedures in the
standard intrinsic module ISO_FORTRAN_ENV are pure or simple.

The procedures are COMPILER_OPTIONS and COMPILER_VERSION.
These are not intrinsic procedures, and not inquiry functions.
However, they are permitted in constant expressions.

Are these procedures pure or simple?

ANSWER:

These procedures were intended to be simple (and thus also pure).
An edit is provided to correct this oversight.

        p2, after "not specific." append sentence
   "The procedures in the module are simple."
