1. Introduction

It is too easy to overlook the fact that the functions in the IEEE modules are
simple (the fact is stated in a place that does not correspond to where it is
stated for intrinsic functions).

This is exacerbated by the incomplete explanations of the table "Class"
abbreviations, and the omission of the information in the descriptions of the
procedures themselves.

This paper inserts the missing information.
